Most of the frame is filled with an expanse of empty land, with scattered trees and golden grasses, raked by early morning light casting long shadows. In the distance is a low rounded range of hills, mostly in shadow, culminating on the left in a more rugged peak. The ridges and gullies of its face are well defined by shadow and reddish light. Above is a cloudless sky.

Another favourite image from my 30+ year photographic career. This is looking to Mount Sonder (Rwetyepme) at the Western end of The West Macdonnell Ranges, not far (in Australian terms) from Alice Springs.
