National has finally admitted they have only built 45 new public houses, despite Christopher Luxon's claim they have built 7000 since they came into office. "Chris Bishop has finally admitted only 45 social houses have been built by his government," Labour Housing spokesperson Kieran McAnulty said.
"Perhaps he may want to inform Christopher Luxon who said yesterday in the House that 7000 homes had been built. "His admission today more than rules out Nicola Willis' promise of building 1000 new houses a year in Auckland. In fact it's the opposite in our biggest city as Kainga Ora has cancelled 1527 houses.
