The #Namco puzzle game #MrDriller establishes very strange lore for its characters - namely that the parents of the titular hero, aka Susumi Hori, are former arcade protagonists #DigDug (renamed Taizo Hori) and Kissy from #Baraduke (renamed Masuyo Tobi). Even weirder, they're canonically divorced.

I've done nothing but play Mr. Driller 2 the past few days so I just want to say, I highly recommend the series! It's a fun, hectic action puzzle game. If you have NSO Expansion Pack, give the game a try! My favorite entry which recently released outside of Japan is DrillLand!
