An uncovered sub-distribution panel with various KNX components installed, including a switching actuator, binary input, KNX bus power supply, and a USB interface. A few circuit breakers and an additional power supply are also visible.

At the bottom of the panel is a screwdriver and a temporarily connected KNX touch panel with display, currently showing the category for switchable power outlets.

Here’s another small KNX project 🫠

This time it’s quite manageable, using a 16-channel switching actuator for lighting, power outlets, and roof window drives in a museum. The new exhibition extension is to be controlled from the reception desk. For […]

Electrical control enclosure on a flat roof, with a transparent cover revealing internal components including a 4-channel switch actuator, a 4-channel dimming actuator, 12 small white power supplies, and terminal blocks. The enclosure is connected via several cables entering through cable glands on the bottom side. Two blue sockets with covers are mounted on the right side.

It's on the roof and connected.

Of course, this won’t just be left like that. It will be properly mounted.

Wired plastic electrical enclosure containing a KNX setup.

At the top, there is a 4-channel switching actuator on the left and a 4-channel dimming actuator on the right, both from Hager. Below them are twelve small white power supplies. The terminal blocks are now wired and organized.

On the right side of the enclosure, two blue sockets with protective lids are mounted. A plastic bottom plate with multiple circular cutouts, intended for cable entries, is placed next to the enclosure on the workbench.

Time to show the progress, since the project has been completed since last Friday.

The 12 spots each have their own small power supply, which I had to fit into the cabinet.

A new small KNX project.

Glass canopy above the balcony with an awning, 12 spotlights, and switchable sockets. This box needs to go on the flat roof.

Later, a KNX server will be added to the distribution cabinet in the basement. This time in a […]
