Pycnidia (?) on dead stems of the invasive #Fallopia japonica (Les Clayes-sous-Bois, FR). I thought of #Mycosphaerella polygoni-cuspidati or M. shimabarensis (Kurose et al., 2009), but asexual conidial stage has never been described so far... @FungusCrous, idea what it is? 🤔

Exciting finding today 🤩: #Septoria of common polypody (#Polypodium vulgare) caused by #Mycosphaerella asperulata, with clusters of perithecia 90-120 µm and immature asci 45 x 12 µm (Les Clayes-sous-Bois, FR). Reported in Sweden (Holm & Holm, 1979) but apparently not in France.
