A colour photo, taken in the late nineteen sixties, shows a green double deck bus heading away from the camera. There are vintage cars ahead of it and behind it, and on the other side of the road we can glimpse a couple of red buses travelling in the opposite direction. Behind that we can just see what seems to be a modern shopping centre, and further down the road in the distance we see older small shops.
We certainly recognise the bus on today's #MysteryMonday pic - it's our own SHMD 70, the unique double deck Atkinson bus that's now in our museum. But do you know where the photo was taken? It's over to you to say, and we'll confirm the answer later.

A rather dirty red and grey Lancashire United bus is heading away from the camera. In the corner of the photo the date is imprinted. It says the fourteenth and May, nineteen eighty-one. A blue Vauxhall Victor car is coming the other way, and at the extreme left a yellow Ford Cortina is waiting in a side road for the bus to pass.
