Next up at #NASOH2019, @EastCarolina's Luke LeBras with "Refit for Active Service: Merchant Vessel Conversion and American Whaling."

Underway for Buzzard's Bay with #NASOH2019
Starting my #NASOH2019 morning with @EastCarolina's Kendra Lawrence on "Tools of the Trade: A Proposed Study of Shipboard Tools." Love that Kendra's thinking about continuity of use & non-standard uses. My shipboard naturalists repurposed sailors' tech all the time. #histtech
Next up in "Cultural Narrative & Maritime Identities" at #NASOH2019 is Maggie Stack of @UConnHistory with "Dissipated & Distinguished: Narratives of Cross-Dressed Female Sailors, 1815-1925."
Starting the afternoon at #NASOH2019 with panel on "Cultural Narrative & Maritime Identities," where Stephen Sanfilippo is singing part of his paper "A Goddess of Our Own: Columbia & American Naval Hyper-Identity." (Wonder Woman also makes an appearance!)
Was at #NASOH2019 for approx 10 min before someone asked me where @AlmostDrStoil was #newrecord
