Facebook post by Florence Davis Today, Sunday October 13th is the end of a really stressful week for us. However, with that being said, there are so many people with far worse problems than us. I am so thankful for all the support that people have given us, as well as all the people who have helped their neighbors and complete strangers, as it is the human thing to do. My family still does not have access to get our cars out, as our neighbors, Tom and Rep. Virginia Foxx and their daughter will not allow us to go across their property to get our two cars out and to the top of our road. It is beyond me as to how they can do this to us when we have three young children now living with us, ages 2 to 7. Why would they feel good about this decision, when we have 4 adults and 3 children in our home without our own cars at the top of the road. I ask what would happen if there were an emergency at our home with any of us, our horses, our dogs and we needed immediate care by 911. Would the Foxx's let the emergency people through their property to come care for us? Or, do they not care at all?? I honestly do not understand how anyone can be so heartless! I am praying that maybe this week will be different.

The deputy proposed that they let us through their property one time, so we could get two vehicles to the other side. They denied that proposal, therefore denying us the ability to get our cars out.

Virginia Foxx and her husband TomFoxx only care about themselves. She goes around to all the counties saying she cares!! What about her immediate neighbors?? This is so screwed up. People need to know who we are dealing with.

NC Representative Virginia Foxx not only has done nothing to help her constituents affected by Hurricane Helene, she is actively refusing to help her neighbors affected by the storm.

The media should be covering this. #NC05 deserves better representation than her.
