In media, we read the @nccbabooks nominated book “A Unicorn, a Dinosaur, and a Shark Walk into a Book”. The students used @jarrett_lerner “Finish that Comic” to write a story in a similar fashion. I was impressed with the creativity the students had with their stories. #nccba #ncslma #media

“Yoshi Sea Turtle Genius” was our school’s favorite nominated NC Children’s Book Award.
Ss watched a news clip of Yoshi being released into the ocean.
Then Ss wrote facts about Yoshi or used #SchoolAi to interview Loggerhead Sea Turtles. #NCSLMA #NCCBA

2nd Gr Ss listen to the book “How Dinosaurs went Extinct: a Safety Guide” and then as a class we generated ideas for a dinosaur. We wrote sentences based on their ideas and put it in Adobe express to see what was needed by AI. #AI #Library #AIeducation #NCCBA
