Hubble Space Telescope image of NGC 6782, a spiral galaxy in the constellation Pavo. The image reveals the galaxy's different appearances in visible and ultraviolet light, highlighting a circumnuclear ring of young stars formed in a recent burst of star formation. The light from the galaxy traveled 180 million years to reach us, a time when dinosaurs roamed Earth. The galaxy spans about 80,000 light-years.
