#Veil Nebula #NGC6960, #NGCC6992, #NGC6995, #NGC6974, #NGC6979 30 min Exposure Aug 9th, 2025 near Oakland TX Taken with a 3" APO AT80EDT ZWO ASI2600 Duo 120s 15 subs for 30 min AM5N Mount Processed with: GraXpert, Cosmic Clarity/Seti Astro, GIMP It constitutes the visible portions of the Cygnus Loop, a supernova remnant, many portions of which have acquired their own individual names and catalogue identifiers. The source supernova was a star 20 times more massive than the Sun which exploded between 10,000 and 20,000 years ago. At the time of the explosion, the supernova would have appeared brighter than Venus in the sky, and visible in the daytime. Located 2400 ly away Spans 13 min in size 50-65 ly across App Mag 7 It is located in Cygnus ©ViuMobile
