To be clear to HSC staff: there is currently no pay offer from the Health Minister for 25/26 to trade unions. Whilst some unions have rejected this in England, in NI, you can't reject something that hasn't been offered. Expect December/January, most likely. #NHS #NHSPay

Part 1 NHS Pay
I would support nurses if they threatened to strike. It’s wrong that their pay has fallen behind teachers and other public sector professionals.

#NHSpay #nurses Is 3.6% enough? Would you take action for more or not? GMB have already opened their ballot. @rcn.org.uk and Unite say consultation will open soon. Unison have denounced the offer. What do you think?
If the government won’t listen, NHS workers must stand together and be heard. ✊
Unions are the only reason we’ve held on this long — it’s time to demand more. Fair pay. Safe staffing. Real respect.

I’m an NHS worker, and I’m honestly not happy about the so-called 3.6% “pay rise” announced today. Yes, it’s backdated to April and hits in August — but here’s why it’s not good enough. 🧵
#NHSPay #FairPayForNHS #NHSWorkers
Press release from UK Gov. NHS workers awarded real terms pay rises for second year in row NHS workers, including doctors and nurses, will receive real terms pay rises after the Health Secretary accepted the Pay Review Bodies’ pay recommendations From: Department of Health and Social Care and The Rt Hon Wes Streeting MP
From Unison to members The government has announced a 3.6% pay increase for NHS staff in England. There have been no negotiations with unions and this is not an offer for members to accept or reject. This is an imposed pay award. What do we know? We do not yet know all the detail. We are working urgently to get clarity on exactly what this means, including when the pay rise and associated backpay will be in your pay packet. We think this is likely to be August, backdated to April 2025. However, it looks like the government has stuck to its position that staff who received an interim pay rise in April 2025 – those in Band 2 and on the entry point of Band 3 – will not receive the full 3.6%. Instead, they will receive a smaller payment to bring the combined total of both pay awards to 3.6% This is unjust. That April payment was not an agreement with those staff – it was something the government had to do to avoid breaking minimum wage law. You may also hear in the news today that many doctors have been awarded 4% plus £750, after their previous 2-year 22% settlement. We know this may feel unfair when the NHS can only succeed by working together as one team.
Absolute 🐂💩 statement from #WesStreeting about #NHSPay.
Only Doctors and those Band 4 and above will see "real terms pay rise".
@unison.org.uk has already called this out to it's members.
