Look but fail to see error - image is adequate, target is in view, viewer has expertise to find target. Radiologists call these retrospectively visible errors. Find cancer, go back to last year's scan to see if it's there. Many are now visible. 5/ #NITOP
Let's make that easier to see: Image of a lung scan with a small gorilla in the top right 20 of 24 radiologsts didn't report it
When searching for lung modules (sign of lung cancer) almost all radiologists fail to notice a gorilla in the scan. When asked to look for the gorilla, easily find it. 4/ #NITOP
