The Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) The Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) has been the cornerstone of the global nuclear non-proliferation regime for over half a century.

The Non-Proliferation Treaty has reduced nuclear arsenals, limited their spread and promoted peaceful nuclear uses.

We need to strengthen it to prevent arms races & proliferation, and ensure security of nuclear facilities.
