After the #NPTPrepCom is before the #NPT Review Conference! We are encouraged by the broad majority of states in favor of more transparency and accountability. This year's PrepCom is a good basis for next year’s Review. Congratulations to Vietnam for taking over the Chair.

Moments ago, the third #NPTPrepCom failed to adopt any outcome, reflecting a horrifying lack of urgency in response to current risks.

Yet we've been encouraged by constructive leadership from #TPNW states, and their efforts to reinforce non-proliferation and disarmament norms.

At #NPTPrepCom with IST and VCDNP, Swiss FDFA Deputy Head Reto Wollenmann set the stage for the discussion on nuclear risk reduction: “it is imperative that we work together to prevent escalations that could spiral out of control.”
