2/8 THE PROBLEM:

#Erikson went insolvent last year. Typically, a municipality can sell a tax-delinquent property to recover funds.

But Erikson’s facilities were on Crown land leases. These cannot be sold to recover taxes. The #NRRM is an unsecured creditor with no leverage.
