Went to #NWAS25. Had the BEST time. Made new friends, learned from subject matter experts, met up with all my online people, watched research and operations in action- yeah, I'll definitely be back!!

On a positive note, my article on tornado sheltering and how it relates to broadcast meteorologists has been approved for publication. It should be published either later this fall or early in 2026.

That is my 3rd published article. A 4th article is about to be written. #nwas25

Bonifer: Several key takeaways were available after assessing both research questions including needing defined roles and pathfinder meetings fostering productive collaborative results. #NWAS25

Schultz: We started Family Weather (a Facebook group) to educate and provide a deeper dive into weather forecasts and science related topics for North Alabama and Southern Middle Tennessee. Our goal is to empower you with weather knowledge to integrate in your daily decisions #NWAS25

Schultz: How do we build trust in our communities, how do we reach them, how do we start relationships? We are human - we have roles outside of our professional lives #NWAS25
