Two birds silhoueeted against a blue sky. Their markings are unfamiliar to me. I am hoping they are Whio, an endangered duck species, with less than 1500 breeding pairs remaining in the world.

Earthseasky (NZ) do fantastic over trousers. They breathe, and the zippered side openings at top and bottom, and velcro make them easy to take off and on. I got one of their jackets as well, warm when wet, but light weight, dry, and very breathable, (spendy though). Love them in the wet.

A cut half of a kiwi fruit showing off it's pink interior, and the ruby red inner. The centre is yellow with the dark red radiating is bursts, like red sunrays. It tastes amazing, and so much better than the gold or the green kiwifruits.

It must be autumn.

Green and orange algae in water, creating textures like molten glass. Kerosene Creek, Rotorua.

The same image of orange and green algae, but rotated 180 degrees. There is still a molten glass look to the image, but an orange blob, now has a person shape with muscles, and a helmet. The children thought it looked liked Thanos from the Marvel movie series. Now hangs in our dining room, this way up.

This is fabulous. The Geothermal parks offer lots of texture for photography. Many year ago when the urchins & I were at Kerosene Creek (Rotorua), this was a favourite of the algae, that we got printed. A few years later, the urchins turned it upside down, & said, "there's Thanos".
