A photograph of a red wax seal, with an impression of an ink well and a quill inside a circle in it. Unfortunately the wax seal itself is not a neat circle, and the wax is not a nice red colour, with some soot smears in it. It sits across the seal line of an envelope (not perfectly centred either).

Broke up with my X of 15 years. It felt sad. It was the first place I connected with my writer community, it connected people during the ChCh quakes, and #NZSecretSanta was the most wholesome time of year. Sadly, in the face of what it's become now, nostalgia was not a good enough reason to stay.

Remember the fun days when we had Secret Santa over on the other site. I think it was the last winter one that a very generous Santa sent me seeds and other gardening things. So here are the last of the basil and rocket seeds. They will be planted outside in a week or two. #NZSecretSanta
