I was sorry to hear of the passing of Nabil Shaban at 72 on the 25th. He co-founded the Graeae Theatre Company to promote disabled performers, and did a range of acting and writing, but is best-known for playing Doctor Who villain Sil. #RIP #NabilShaban #RIPNabilShaban

Saddened to hear the death of #NabilShaban.
His character of Sil quickly became an iconic recurring villain in classic #DoctorWho.
He was an advocate for disabled representation in the arts. In 1980 he founded The Graeae - a group which promotes performers with disabilities.
