Le visage d’une femme apparaît dans la partie haute du document. Ses traits sévères sont esquissés au crayon gris sur un visage allongé. Ses cheveux blonds et lisses (aquarelle jaune) semblent attachés derrière son crâne en un chignon ou une natte qu’on ne voit pas. Son long cou est ceint d’un début de collier fait de plusieurs grosses perles jaunes. La moitié inférieure du document est presque entièrement vide, à l’exception d’une signature et d’une date en bas à gauche du dessin : « Wyndham Lewis 1933 ». Dans le coin inférieur gauche de la feuille papier, on peut également lire le nom du modèle : « Naomi Mitchison ».
