The nurses also say I should get a lift back with my friend. The 10 mile journey counts as "exercise" which I swore on the iPad questionnaire I wouldn't do for 36 hours after for fear of fainting. Seems maybe #NationalBloodDonorWeek and #CycleWeekUK don't mix. 19/
The rear of a grey bicycle in the lower third of the image, with a muddy rocky trail behind it showing up a hill face, surrounded by leaves and trees.
A bearded bespectacled man in a brown t-shirt on a blood donor bed, propped up with a purple pillow behind. In his right arm is a needle and a tube carrying blood, and a cuff blood pressure gauge is strapped to his upper arm. To the right is a table tray with biscuits, water, coffee, and a book, and behind this is the monitor for the apheresis spinning machine.

Follow along for narrative twists and turns - ironies x2 at the end! 1/
