Join the May Day Strong Movement We are living in a dangerous time, and our democracy is on life support. The Trump administration undermines the rule of established law, crushes civil and labor rights and attacks voting rights to consolidate power. The U.S. is facing a true fascist threat. Nationally, working people have united to launch a fightback movement, called May Day Strong, in which our union is participating. May Day is an internationally recognized day of resistance to corporate greed, dating back to the fight in Chicago in 1886 to win the 8-hour day. Nurses, allied with our patients, other unions and community allies, are helping to build a mass movement to topple the pillars that support this corporate drive towards fascism. We need to take the fight directly to the billionaires who are profiting off the administration’s anti-union, anti-worker, and anti-immigrant agenda. It is time to put an end to cutting billions of dollars from health and human needs into wars and obscene corporate profits. This May 1st, ordinary people from across the country will be joining together in a growing movement to show the administration we will not stand for it.
