A moment from the "Andor" Star Wars series, Season 2 episode 10, depicts a teenage boy in chains looking towards the camera, minutes before being put in front of the Empire's firing squad. He is looking right at the character Kleya, a 10-ish year old girl, who defiantly bears witness to the killing.
I think a lot about all of heartening speeches in #Andor: #Nemik, of course, and #MonMothma, and #Maarva (Maarva!) - it helps me in RL, and gives me heart.
But I confess: I also think quite often of this, as we move closer to what it depicts. And think of #Kleya, needing to bear witness.

Hearing the reprisal of Nemik's #manifesto during the last episode of #Andor (S2E12) gave me goosebumps. This was such a lovely way to give a nod to one of the individuals that shaped the rebellion.
I *love* #Nemik, his kindness and thoughtfulness. Wished we could've spent more with him.

There will be times when the struggle seems impossible. I know this already. Alone, unsure, dwarfed by the scale of the enemy. Remember this, Freedom is a pure idea. It occurs spontaneously and without instruction. Random acts of insurrection are occurring constantly throughout the galaxy. There are whole armies, battalions that have no idea that they’ve already enlisted in the cause. Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward. And remember this: the Imperial need for control is so desperate because it is so unnatural. Tyranny requires constant effort. And know this, the day will come when all these skirmishes and battles, these moments of defiance will have flooded the banks of the Empires’s authority and then there will be one too many. One single thing will break the siege. Remember this: Try.
