A moment from the "Andor" Star Wars series, Season 2 episode 10, depicts a teenage boy in chains looking towards the camera, minutes before being put in front of the Empire's firing squad. He is looking right at the character Kleya, a 10-ish year old girl, who defiantly bears witness to the killing.
I think a lot about all of heartening speeches in #Andor: #Nemik, of course, and #MonMothma, and #Maarva (Maarva!) - it helps me in RL, and gives me heart.
But I confess: I also think quite often of this, as we move closer to what it depicts. And think of #Kleya, needing to bear witness.
I want a show focused on #Yavin4, on #Kleya & #Val & #MonMothma & the others, maybe with a mixed timeline, using flashbacks for its beginnings, and "current" time starting about BBY2 or so.
A girl can dream...
Gilroy would be great, or at least a team who's learned from his approach?
If Luthen Rael is Axis, then Kleya Marki is Atlas.

Finished #Andor for the third time last night - totally worth the rewatch. Of course I knew the plot, the twists, the turns. This time around I paid more attention to foreshadowing, the music, the costuming and the little things, like the small smile of #Kleya in the last episode...

I think about Kleya: how her arc and Luthen's are built on that moment when Luthen decides to defect from the Empire. He doesn't escape, he shifts sides. His lesson to her in the cafe, as ships explode across the bay, is that they cannot escape the responsibility of rebelling.

I was going to say: hey, if you want to know what jelly shoes were like, they had #Kleya being the entire SAS on her own in them in #Andor in the hospital.
They're not *quite* the same as the ones we had in the 80s (they were more open) - but the closest I have seen in this trouser leg of time.
