So that was the #NervDrinksTea Advent calendar experience for 2025. I may keep most of the remaining teas to drink sometime in summer. Overall I'd give this calendar 2/5 ⭐️. It had some interesting surprises and gets all the marks on graphic design, but tea quality and repetition made it fail for me.
To be honest... it tasted more or less the same as the previous coconut-flavoured teas in this calendar. Not bad, but I'd really expect (or hope) to get more complexity from the other flavours as well.

Day 12 of #NervDrinksTea, cont.:
Tbh I was a little sceptical about lemongrass as a "seasonal" flavour as that gives rather summery vibes to me, but I'm pleasantly surprised. The main tones are lemon and ginger, but it also has a warm vibe and is one of the best "lemon & ginger"s I've had.

Day 12 of the English Tea Shop Organic Advent Calendar: a khaki card with a bright blue bag of tea named "Seasonal Siesta".
Day 12 of #NervDrinksTea: 😴😴😴💤...
Huh? Oh, perhaps I shouldn't take this one literally.
Tea number 12 is called Seasonal Siesta!
With lemongrass, cinnamon, ginger, garcinia, hibiscus, lemon peel, lemon flavour, ginger flavour.
Day 11 of the English Tea Shop Organic Advent Calendar: a yellow card with an orange teabag containing "Peachy Keen".
Day 11 of #NervDrinksTea: Peachy Keen.
Hibiscus, rosehip, lemon, lemongrass, cinnamon, apple, peach flavour, passion fruit flavour.
Where I was missing balance in the previous hibiscus tea, this one is a success! An ideal iced tea in the summer - luckily I was doing some sweaty chores today. 😜

Today on #NervDrinksTea I'm cheating with a different hot drink.
I'd been gifted a caramel hot chocolate from a fancy local chocolatier and didn't want that to go off. It's delicious and makes me want to check out more of their hot chocolate sticks. 😋 They have a violet one as well!!! 👀💜
Day 10 of the English Tea Shop Organic Advent Calendar: a green card with a brown tea bag saying "Coffee cocoa" under an illustration of a tea pot with flowers and a snowflake.
Day 10 of #NervDrinksTea: Coffee Cocoa.
Black tea, coffee, cocoa, cinnamon, vanilla flavour, coconut flavour, safflower.
Typing this, the two added flavours explain a lot about the slightly synthetic sweetness. I keep asking myself if certain additions were really necessary in this calendar.
Day 9 of #NervDrinksTea, cont.: The scent mainly gives coconut, the taste coconut and matcha. It's pleasant and warming.

Day 9 of the English Tea Shop Organic Advent Calendar: a yellow card and a green teabag with "Super goodness: Mighty Matcha".
Day 9 of #NervDrinksTea: Apparently Super Goodness is a series - my apologies! This one is Mighty Matcha: green tea, roasted rice, cocoa, cinnamon, matcha, coconut.
Sounds good to me!
Day 8 of the English Tea Shop Organic Advent Calendar: a hot pink card and a yellow tea bag with "Super Goodness" containing cinnamon, moringa, and ginger.
Day 8 of #NervDrinksTea: Rejoice! A blend without mint! 🎉
"Super Goodness" contains cinnamon, moringa, and ginger.
There's a lot of cinnamon (yay!) and enough kick from the ginger (yay!). I'm still not sure I know what moringa tastes like, from these teas.

Photo of a person with glasses sitting in a black chair in front of a wooden bookcase. The person is frowning with a sour expression, lips pressed together.
Day 7 of #NervDrinksTea, cont.: This was a tea where balance would have been key - but alas, it's very sour due to the hibiscus, and the sweetness of the berries doesn't mix well with the mint, in my opinion.
1.5/5 ⭐
You know what, here's what my face does every time I take a sip.
Day 7 of the English Tea Shop Organic Advent Calendar: a green card and a red teabag with the text "Super Berries" under an illustration of a teapot with flowers.
Day 7 of #NervDrinksTea: Super Berries!
Hibiscus, rooibos, beetroot, spearmint (again! why??), strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries.
I'm getting a bit bored by how present mint flavours are in this calendar. Surely we don't need that in a berry tea?
Day 6 of #NervDrinksTea, cont.: This time, the multitude of ingredients brings more complexity. I think I would enjoy this one a lot as a refreshing iced tea in summer, but it's also nice now.
3.5/5 ⭐
Day 6 of the English Tea Shop Organic Advent Calendar: a green card and a light blue teabag with the text "energise me" under an illustration of a teapot with a bee and a butterfly.
Day 6 of #NervDrinksTea with another funny name: "Energise me". Well, I could use it!
Spearmint, peppermint, blackberry leaves, rooibos, nettle, ginger, lemongrass, cinnamon, elderflower, and ginseng.
Day 5 of #NervDrinksTea, cont.: Intrigued as I was, I'm still sort of waiting for the flavour to show up. It mainly tastes like a sweet mint tea to me, without much complexity considering that amount of ingredients. Once again not bad at all, but it'd raised higher expectations.
2.5/5 ⭐
Day 5 of the English Tea Shop Organic Advent Calendar: a purple card and a pale green tea bag with the text "Revive Me".
Day 5 of #NervDrinksTea brings the very intriguing name "Revive Me". It's white tea with moringa, cinnamon, rosehip, and ginseng (and also lemongrass, spearmint, and nettle in the ingredient list). I didn't know moringa, so this calendar keeps delivering things to learn! ✨
Day 4 of the English Tea Shop Organic Advent Calendar: a pink card and a green tea bag with mint black tea under an illustration of a tea pot with flowers.
Day 4 of #NervDrinksTea: mint black tea. Pretty much what it says on the tin!

No Advent tea today, as I'm going to see a play tonight and don't want to have a tea bladder 😂
I did have my regular double cup of good Assam with breakfast, so don't worry about my hydration levels. 😁 #NervDrinksTea
Day 3 of #NervDrinksTea cont.: As pineapple is the one flavour I don't like, I'm not a big fan of the immediate taste. Scent and aftertaste are pleasant, however. The white tea is more pronounced than on day 1 and it's generally different enough that I understand the choice a little better.
3/5 ⭐
A green card with a green tea bag containing white tea with tropical fruits.
Day 3 of #NervDrinksTea is a white tea with tropical fruit. That feels pretty soon after day 1's passionfruit!
Once again it contains licorice, which I don't notice in this one, and soursop, which was a new fruit for me to discover. New discoveries are always a plus.
Day 2 of #NervDrinksTea cont.: Again, the tea is more flavourful when cooled down - at first I barely tasted any rooibos. Sadly, even with rooibos, cocoa in tea just tastes watered down to me. It makes me feel like having a real cocoa or a better quality of rooibos. No bad tastes, just fine. 2.5/5 ⭐
Day 2 of the English Tea Shop Organic Advent Calendar: an orange card and a brown tea bag with rooibos, cocoa, and vanilla under an illustration of a tea pot with flowers.
Photo of a dark-coloured mug with a flying dragon at the front, with a teabag seeping in water inside it and a brown tea bag label with an illustration of a teapot near the handle.
Day 2 of #NervDrinksTea! It's a rooibos with cocoa and vanilla. I'm thinking the combination of rooibos and cocoa could be very nice, so I'm excited!

Who heard "passionfruit and coconut" and thought: "well, clearly what this needs is some added licorice"?
Luckily the scent mainly gives passionfruit, as does the immediate taste.
The (for me unpleasant) licorice mainly keeps to the aftertaste.
Not a bad start! 3/5 ⭐️

Remember when a few years ago, I had the #NervDrinksTea tag on the tweety site?
Well, I got a tea advent calendar again... Let's go! 🤩✨️
