Otto-Henry, 1502-1559 was a member of the Wittelsbach dynasty, Count Palatine of Palatinate-Neuburg from 1505 to 1557 and prince elector of the Palatinate from 1556 to 1559. He converted to Lutheranism in 1541 and promoted science. The statue looks a bit derelict as sun, rain and snow have kept working on it.

Otto Heinrich's wife (and cousin) Susanna of Bavaria (1502 – 1543) was a German princess. Born in Munich, she was the daughter of Albert IV, Duke of Bavaria, and Kunigunde of Austria. The ravages of time have given her statue a somewhat peculiar look - is it a bit melancholic or has it a strange alien twist to it?

A good Thursday morning bid Otto-Henry, Elector Palatine, and his wife, Susanna of Bavaria, from the front gate of Neuburg Castle (Bavaria). Time may make us look like fools someday.
