This is the apology poem
by a #neurodivergentpoet
"Limits" by Guy Walsh: We stand at the border, the journey was short. I didn't want to come this way but you insisted. The ride was bumpy. You tried to smooth it over but all you did was push it deeper. A journey can have more than one path- yet we always have to follow yours. I don't get travel sick, but you don't experience the same sensations so once again- I'm the problem. Still, we made it. So, go ahead- I'll wait here.
I’ve recently started writing poetry. It seemed to come out of nowhere, but it’s quickly become my go-to way of expressing what it feels like to navigate the world as a neurodivergent person.
This is the first.
It’s called Limits.
