I know this story is all demons and Limbo and magic swords and corruption, but it could use some internal logic. N’Astirh keeps talking about Illyana becoming corrupted, until she just manifests a suit of armor. She strikes and kills him, but he doesn’t die. #marvel #newmutant

I think @gailsimone.bsky.social has tapped into something special that the classic #NewMutant kids back in the ‘80s. There’s a sense of teenage normalcy and “us against the world” that Dani, Sam, & Co. had by not being surrounded by other teen mutants like latter teams.
Remember that spider alien from back in New Mutants #66 [M6954]? His name is Spyder (obviously), his assistant is Gosamyr, and apparently he owns Lila as some sort of slave-trade deal. And now that she’s on Earth, he’s sending his troops to get her! #marvel #newmutant
