Hey home baristas, got any advice?
I’m learning this #NewSkill and can’t seem to get my milk foam to be nice and silky and incorporated.
I keep getting a tall layer of foam that sloshes nicely in the pitcher, but it’s actually just floating on a layer of plain milk that trickles out when I pour.

I’m back from a stomach bug with more improvement!
Cream instead of milk, nuked to 130F. Smelled a little scalded?
Frothed on low, half submerged this time. Mix of bubble sizes
I got a consistent pour, but couldn’t pull the drink with it.

Better than yesterday!
Microwaved milk for 20 seconds, plus bursts (143F)
Stuck with low speed, and checked to make sure there wasn’t plain milk left in the foam - and it poured!
Problem: foam just floated. Didn’t sink enough to make art.

When we were young, we didn't have a lot of money so my mum and nan would make a lot of our clothes.

Today I went on a sewing course in a lovely oast house and made a draw string bag.

Today we held a "copper bowl workshop" and in just 3 hours our visitors made their own individually crafted pieces.
