‘This could be our last year’: student comedy troupes priced out of Edinburgh fringe Nish Kumar among comedians warning that rising costs could stop university revues visiting the festival

My comedy career started in 1985 working for #Newsrevue, the well-known London satire show, where many comedians started out - Bill Bailey & Alistair McGowan just two who were there at the same time.

I directed its Edinburgh shows in 1988 & '89, when tickets were around £2 or £3.
