You get 100 Platinum Points for playing and it's currently cheaper. HOWEVER I recommend you to get the game for any other service. For whatever reason the DLC-prices are rarely reduced for Nintendo, and there are a lot.

Plate Up! is the new Nintendo Game Trial. It runs from 15.5. 10:00 until 21.5. 23:59.
