Well, It’s confirmed. The physical edition (at least on PS5) of Tomb Raider IV–V–VI Remastered was released with Patch 2 from August 14, meaning it DOES include the controversial AI voicelines that were later removed with a hotfix (still downloadable here).

Delca, environment artist on Tomb Raider I–II–III & IV–V–VI Remastered, confirmed that the French voice line in TR5 is manually edited and NOT partially generated by AI.

Tomb Raider IV-V-VI Remastered is FINALLY being updated to remove the AI voice lines, while keeping all the other Patch 2 additions.
The rollout is currently underway.
We thank @aspyr.com but now they need to make a public statement and apologize.

They confirmed a patch is in the works to remove AI content & “restore all original voiceover” in Tomb Raider IV–V–VI Remastered.

#noAIinTR | A few days ago, Lene Bastos, the Brazilian voice of Lara Croft in Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness, spoke out against the use of her voice by AI without her consent in Tomb Raider IV-V-VI Remastered.
She also said she’s willing to return for a re-dubbing if needed!

The SteamDB history for Tomb Raider IV-V-VI Remastered is being updated again, but we still don’t know the nature of the changes.
Let’s just hope it’s to quickly remove the AI-generated voice lines, at least! 🤞 #noAIinTR

It seems that other languages (🇫🇷🇬🇧🇪🇸🇮🇹🇧🇷🇯🇵) have also been affected by AI usage since Patch 2 in Tomb Raider AOD Remastered to “restore” these voicelines, which didn’t really need it.
TR5 has also been slightly affected.
This must stop. Remove AI voices. We want humans.
