#NoodleTuesday a rare lunchtime noodle opportunity today, so trying the more “western” flavour option. Thought this might be dull but there’s a kick of chili and reconstituted roast garlic which is ace. Filling 3.5/5 (still a *bit* boring)

#NoodleTuesday this is what we’d call “Chip shop curry” flavour here which, friends is a wormhole of colonialism and immigrant food history. Accessorised w/ home made soy & chilli seitan + edamame beans left over from conference catering b/c we are a classy household of foragers. Extremely mid 2.5/5

Completely forgot to post #NoodleTuesday yesyerday. This is a very light soy stock, extremely filling. I found it has a strange “wholemeal” cardboardy flavour which I think is a note off the specific sort of soy 2.5/5

#NoodleTuesday an odd one - basic spicy oiled soup, but the noodles had a strange wholemeal flavour. It definitely needed the add ins, but B really liked the noodle flavour so I’ve bumped it up a half point 2.5/5

#NoodleTuesday - usually we are a bit disappointed by the brothless noodles but these were something new - scallion oil the main flavouring; good but would be way too oily just as a portion without the veg. Great noodle texture though 3.5/5

#NoodleTuesday whoo hoo hoo we haven’t had a spicy one in a while. I don’t understand how eating the noodles can feel hotter than slurping the stock. Sour, clear lime flavour, filling, slightly too “wholemeal-y” noodles. 3.5/5 definitely tasted.
I'm making a half-baked effort to post something pleasant, positive, fun or at least inconsequential at least 1x for eveyr 3-5 doomposts (eg #housegawp & #NoodleTuesday) but I'm pretty sure I'm adding to the net whinging rather than the net positive which I don't like. Which is, of course, a whinge.

#NoodleTuesday a banger! I was suspicious of how tiny the noodle nests were but they really expanded and this was super filling, identifiable soup “bits” and a really crisp mouth tingly pepper heat. 4.5/5

#NoodleTuesday - a late m, fast post-workshop dinner & I was worried about this as “creamy/cheesy” noodles often let me down & i’ll be honest, the cheese powder smelt rancid 😂 But they were sinus clearingly spicy, and very filling with great noodle texture. I almost didn’t miss the broth 3/5

#NoodleTuesday last packet of the old season and it’s a solid basic one. This has such a strong roast duck scent it’s always going to be slightly disappointing to taste. Much improved with veg and egg, but filling despite size & some decent heat too 3/5

#NoodleTuesday I was super suspicious of these as my experience of anything “creamy/cheesy” in the instant noodle range hasn’t been great but these were a a surprise. Slightly sweet & creamy, but a tiny bit of heat, great soy textures and veg bits. 3/5
