Update: When it came time to walk the walk, they bailed. We will still get a massive road widening, only it will stop just before #Nordpolen. Asphalt and broken promises.

YES! The city just voted ahead of time to scrap the entire project. The old garden #Nordpolen and 52 street trees saved!

So on Monday the city of Cph decides if they are going to widen this monster road into the oasis in lower left corner. #Nordpolen which they just last year *promised* would be kept as an old garden.
It is never enough space for cars, is it? Even the bike lanes will be narrowed.

Tagensvej, heavy on air pollution. 2012 vs 2019, cuts to 80 year old trees and magnolia garden, protected park sliced/partially paved and other green corner paved.
They now plan to widen road again. Lover left corner, which we JUST managed to save from development. #Nordpolen
