PJM Interconnection Participates in Comprehensive Grid Security Exercise
The PJM Interconnection recently participated in the latest iteration of GridEx, a two-year, bi-annual simulation exercise coordinated by the Electricity Information Sharing and Analysis Center (E-ISAC) to test the ability of grid operators across North America to respond to large-scale emergencies. The exercise, which involved over 370 organizations from the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, incorporated realistic cyber and physical attack scenarios to evaluate crisis response and recovery procedures, with PJM representatives from various departments participating in the tabletop discussion with industry and government leadership to refine communication strategies and enhance response capabilities for maintaining power during actual crises.
