#muskellunge diets were much broader than #northernpike, #walleye, or #largemouthbass. Yellow Perch and sunfish were important across the board, especially for pike and walleye. Bass ate crayfish and other inverts, while #muskie also ate suckers, bullheads, and even northern pike
On the other hand, #walleye and #northernpike really keyed in on #yellowperch in most systems, and their diets were statistically similar across seasons as a result

Wrapped up field work for my MS project last night with this THICC #muskellunge! This was the 205th #muskie this year and no. 381 for project #fishpuke, along with more #walleye, #northernpike, and #largemouthbass than I cared to tally this morning 🙃
