A picture of today’s fan arrangement in the Flora RiNo Denver Apartments fitness center because it was already in the mid 70sF before 9a.m. this morning so too hot for propping open the gym doors. Had to reconfigure fan arrangement twice during run. There are respiratory diseases and autoimmune conditions that prevent temperature regulation. Most of those conditions impact girls and women and we’re told not to use our voices. It’s partly how our work and living spaces perpetuate ableism. This is a fitness center in a “luxury” building called Fora RiNo Apartments Denver and they have long refused to add any standing fans and claim overhead fans are a complete non-starter. It advertises itself as “condo grade amenities” even though this place was cancelled as a condo build before is broke ground for CN in 2021. If we were staying I’d buy my own standing fans and bring it down to the gym for every use.
