Key issues raised: Deinstitutionalisation Equal employment opportunities Reasonable accommodations Protection from discrimination and violence Meaningful participation in decision-making Inclusive education
Next: Committee’s concluding observations, informed by: 1. The EU’s responses during this dialogue 2. Alternative reports from civil society, including Autism-Europe’s alternative report
We thank the UN CRPD Committee for addressing these critical issues and urge the EU to take concrete steps to ensure the rights and full inclusion of autistic people.

Csengőfrász, telefonálás-félelem, döntésképtelenség, más tudattalan bullyzása. Az autizmus egy fokozott, állandó szorongással járó neurodivergens állapot. A fentiek bármelyike lehet a „tünete”, de sokakra leginkább a társas érintkezéstől és a nagy felelősséggel járó döntésektől való félelem jellemző. A többség nem tud önálló életet élni. A diagnózis teljes neve autizmus spektrumzavar, mert főleg (de nem csak!) idegrendszeri tünetekkel bír, rendkívül széles skálán. Mivel NEM betegségről van szó, kerülni kell az érintettek lehülyézését, retardáltként kezelését vagy levegőnek nézését! Az autizmus már gyerekként kimutatható, kockázata a koraszüléssel nő. Gyógyíthatatlan születési rendellenesség, de kezelhető. Korai habilitációval tünetei krónikusan enyhíthetők. Az autisták egyes dolgokban kiemelkedőek, másban sokkal rosszabbak az átlagnál.

Tavalyi instasztorim, amit most kiegészítenék azzal, hogy amíg néhány éve még azt mondták, minden 100. ember autista, addig a tavalyi kutatások szerint már minden 54. ember érintett.
