It's sprout has been tied into a knot, the white petals on its head and replacing its feet resemble the veil and skirt of a wedding dress, sticky sap now taking the place of hair and the dress's bodice. Its leaf arms are folded demurely infront of it.

When Haricute reaches level 21+ holding the Red String item it evolves into Haricourtin, the Bonded Pokémon! (Grass/Fairy). Overwhelmed by the strength of their affection they bond very strongly with a chosen pokémon partner. #NovanakiRegion #BeARTrix #fakemon #vart #pokemon

A fakemon resembling a bipedal navy bean starting to sprout. A gooey sap from its head rolls down its body resembling long hair. the sprouting tendril wraps around it's head, the tip held at the mouth of its OvO face in a flirtatious way.

Meet Haricute, the Bean Pokémon! (Grass/Fairy). These pokemon are quite friendly, charming pokémon and humans
with the sticky sweet sap they secret from their body. It's believed the stronger the affection they have for someone, the sweeter it gets.

A fakemon designed to resemble Cthulhu, a dumbo octopus, and a small figure in a fetal position. It has happy looking crescent eyes and a pair of green wing-like fins on the side of its head. Spots and coloration on its head resemble a dreamy thought bubble.

Meet Cutihulu, the Dreaming Pokémon! (Poison/Psychic). These rare pokémon are constantly asleep, but reach out to others through psychic dreams. While they mean no harm, these dreams are often frightening and upsetting to their recipients.

A fakemon evolution to Whitty. It resembles a scarred and angry narwhal. Instead of a tusk there's a horn shaped like both a harpoon and quarter rest. Its scars, one over an eye and two in an X over its back, have been filled in with metal, its tail also looking like it might have been replaced at some point. It looks ready to stab you!

When Whitty reaches level 35+* it can rarely evolve into Narphoon, the Dirge Pokémon! (Water/Steel). Narphoons have lost their choirs to violence and emotionally harden as a result. A fakemon evolution to Whitty. It resembles a blue and white whale standing on its tail fins. The "horn" on its head has grown into a melon organ shaped like a quarter note. The white on its tail, belly, and fore fins have grown to look like Belugato wears a fancy suit an opera singer might wear. It's holding one fin to its chest and another outwards, breathing deeply and about to sing for you!

At level 35+* Whitty evolves into Belugato, the Choral Pokémon! (Water/Psychic). These pokemon can manipulate their whale song to sound like any instrument they choose. There's no higher honor to many musicians than a Belugato singing along. #NovanakiRegion #BeARTrix #pokemon #fakemon #vart

A fakemon designed to look like a child sized woven wicker man doll. Inside the broken wicker of its face its eyes, two glowing, fiery seeds peer out from within its hollow head, looking at the viewer with an OwO expression.

The wickerman doll of the previous fakemon has burst open to release a ghost like spirit of fire with fireball eyes and an even bigger OwO face. The spirit has two skeletal arms made of wicker, joints held my magic fireballs.

Meet Wickid, the Effigy Pokémon! (Grass, Grass/Fire). Years of ritual and superstition brought the first Wickid to life from an ordinary sacrificial doll. They feed on burnt offerings and are said to bring good harvests in return. #NovanakiRegion #BeARTrix #fakemon #pokemon #vart

A fakemon resembling a pair of extremely lopsided woolly cows. A pair of rocks form a cowbell-like shape beneath their heads and jagged rocks ares scattered throughout their coats. Striped bands of caked on mud and dirt evoke the appearance of banded sedimentary layers. The cows each have a very long horn on their longer side. One head stares with big, sparkly eyes, the other with a sharper glare.

When Stompahoof reaches level 36 it evolves into Stampaherd, the Mountain Cattle Pokémon! (Rock/Ground). To counterbalance the increasingly lopsided nature of their bodies they form bonded pairs, leaning against each other to travel any terrain.

A fakemon designed to look like a shaggy auburn coated calf. A pair of rocks form a cowbell-like shape beneath its head and striped bands of caked on mud and dirt evoke the appearance of banded sedimentary layers. Its left limbs are far larger and stronger than the right. It stares at the viewer with it's bishoujo-esque cow eyes for approval.

Meet Stompahoof, the Mountain Calf Pokémon! (Rock/Ground). Stompahoofs live most of their lives on steep, rocky mountainsides. To aid their mobility they reinforce one side of their body with layers of clay and stone. #NovanakiRegion #BeARTrix #fakemon #pokemon #vart

A regional evolution fakemon for Novanaki Farfetch'd. It resembles a male mallard duck, brown robe now with a white collar, its red eyeshadow far more prominent. The red onion warhammer has begun sprouting, its long green stem allowing Far-Flung to wield it like a Meteor Hammer flail or a Three Section Staff.

Once Novanaki Farfetch'd has KO'd five Flying type pokémon single-handedly it can evolve into Far-Flung, the Wild Duck Pokémon! (Grass/Fighting). Far-Flung are said to continue to grow in patience, serenity, and skill the longer their onions grow.

A fakemon design for a region Farfetch'd evolution. It resembles a brown duck wearing a darker brown robe, a W shaped unibrow above its eyes and slight red eyeshadow like markings around its eyes. One wing is unfurled outwards, the other is wrapped around the stem of a massive red onion it has balanced on its shoulder like a war hammer.

Meet Novanaki Farfetch'd, the Wild Duck Pokémon! (Grass/Fighting). Rather than leeks these hearty pokémon are known to scavenge and even grow hearty red onions to wield as maces to devastating effect. #NovanakiRegion #BeARTrix #fakemon #pokemon #vart

A fakemon based on a scarier version of Lanturn. Its large, spherical body rests on a mermaid-esque tail and two muscular fore fins. Their face is dominated by a jagged, toothy grin and red X's for eyes covered by yellow mask like coloration.

When female Chinchou reach level 27 they evolve into Lanterror, the Siren Pokémon! (Dark/Electric). On dark nights Lanterrors are known to manipulate their lights to mimic light houses, drawing unsuspecting ships to crash against the shores. A fakemon based on the small males of the football angler fish. Its front fins are disproportionately large, coupled with the head shape making the front of the fakemon look like a decorative bow. Black marks around it's red X eyes make it look like it's wearing a mask or blindfold. It sports a joyful fanged smile, as if looking upon it beautiful giant wife.

When male Chinchou reach level 27 they evolve into Lanlubber, the Paramour Pokémon! (Water/Dark). Lanlubbers are life long romantics, devoting themselves wholly to the happiness of their much larger and stronger female counterparts. #NovanakiRegion #BeARTrix #fakemon #pokemon #vart

When a Shifty Sou'wester is used on Slowpoke it evolves into Slowking, the Trawler Pokémon! (Water/Electric). It repairs discarded fishing nets for its own use, trawling through the waves or working with humans on boats to increase their yield.

A regional variant of Slowbro based on freshwater anglers wearing waders. It has larger fangs and its cinnamon roll ears have become vaguely lightning bolt shaped. Its striped belly is a dark brown and spreads from the legs up the chest to a pair of overall straps above the shoulders. Its tail is dramatically longer, arching up and back down like a fishing rod and line with a Minnaux turned into a bobber lure at the end.

When a Sneaky Lure is used on Slowpoke it evolves into Slowbro, the Angler Pokémon! (Water/Electric). Its insulated, rubbery brown hide keeps its body warm as it wades through the freshwater streams of Novanaki. #NovanakiRegion #BeARTrix #fakemon #pokemon #vart

Minnaux, a fakemon for the Novanaki region. It superficially resembles the pokemon Wishiwashi, with similar eye shape, colors, and markings, but that's where similarities end. It has a three part segmented body made to look like flexible metallic fishing lures with sharp fins and a mean looking expression. Instead of pectoral fins Minnaux has two nasty sharp fish hooks.

Meet Minnaux, the Lure Pokémon! (Steel). Minnaux are sneaky hunters, disguising themselves as the weakest of targets to lure unsuspecting prey into ambushes. They're often known to team up with avid fishers like Slowpokes to more effectively hunt. #NovanakiRegion #BeARTrix

Meet Novanaki Slowpoke, the Dopey Pokémon! (Water/Electric). With the abundance of aquatic pokémon to fish in Novanaki, a normally dormant part of its brain has awoken, supercharging its mental and reflex speeds. #NovanakiRegion #BeARTrix

A fakemon evolution to the Novanaki region Lapras. Its shell-less body has been stretched out like a sea serpent's, its back covered with roiling, splashing mud. Champras's head is more predatory with rows of sharp teeth and a long curved horn. It wears facial camouflage of mud resembling eye shadow and eye liner that flows out into a messy streak.

When Lapras hits level 50+ while knowing a Ground move it evolves into Champras, the Elusive Pokémon! (Water/Ground).

Champras has mastery over the mud that make up the lake bottoms of its home. It's so stealthy that proof it exists was only recorded about 100 years ago. #NovanakiRegion #BeARTrix

A fakemon design for a regional variant of Lapras in the Novanaki region. The rocky shell of Kantonian Lapras has been removed and the body made much longer and more hydrodynamic. It bears a much darker color scheme and has used splashes of mud to camouflage itself at the bottom of lakes and rivers.

Meet Novanaki Lapras, the Transport Pokémon! (Water). When Lapras populations migrated to Novanaki they found homes in freshwater lakes. With smaller and warmer habitats they evolved away the insulating Ice type and heavy shell, favoring camouflage and a speedier form. #NovanakiRegion #BeARTrix

A fakemon evolution to the Novanaki regional Meowth. It resembles a long and fluffy coated cat, back arched playfully as it waves at the viewer. It retains the fluffy whiskers and "gloves" from Meowth, but the neck ruff has sectioned off into a bowtie and its ear tips droop like a lynx. The koban on its head has grown and branched off to resemble a tiny top hat. The color scheme is inverted, lighter grey on the tail tip, backpaws, face, and belly, darker everywhere else.

When Novanaki Meowth reaches level 28 it evolves into Hilynks, the Silly Cat Pokémon! (Fairy). Hilynks often engage children in elaborate games of make-believe, though they can get out of hand and messy. Still they always take responsibility and clean up messes they make. #NovanakiRegion #BeARTrix

A fan design of a regional variant of Meowth. It sports a coat with many little tufts of fur, ruff of neck fur, and full and fluffy whiskers. It's largely shades of grey and black but the neck ruff is bright red and its koban is alternating red and white. The fur around its forepaws are lighter colored and sectioned off to look like gloves. It's posed as if it's having a silly little chit chat with the viewer.

Meet Novanaki Meowth, the Scratch Cat Pokemon! (Fairy). The Meowths of this region were brought over from Galar, but have since been more domesticated, prized for friendly temperament and fluffy coat. Many families even trust them with entertaining unsupervised kids. #NovanakiRegion #BeARTrix

At level 34 Novanaki Yamask evolves into Medigrigus, the Medium Pokémon! (Ghost/Psychic). Medigrigus can communicate with both the living and spirits, sometimes serving as a messenger. Unfortunately its mischievous nature often leads it to pranks and scares instead. #NovanakiRegion

The Yamask of this region have learned to "speak" with humans through the use of spirit boards and séances, but their spotty memory and poor spelling often get in the way of communication. #NovanakiRegion #Beart

A fakemon evolution of Novanaki Nosepass. It is a large, purple rock head with a large, sloped red nose, prominent lower lip, and glowing purple eyes. It's chipped head extends like a pointed cap, or mountain peak, with six flint "feathers" coming off the tip. It is accompanied by three stone "birds", simple, Nosepass like statues with flint wings, red beaks, and glowing purple eyes. Nispass is staring at you in a solemn and thoughtful way.

When Nosepass levels up in an area of high spectral energy it evolves into Nispass, the Vigil Pokémon! (Rock/Ghost)

Nispass was once a human, separated from their lover by death. It now watches over places where the mortal and ghostly worlds overlap to guide souls peacefully over. #NovanakiRegion

A fakemon regional form of the pokemon Nosepass. While mostly similar looking its nose is shorter with a distinctive crook. Its head extends upward into a chipped summit like point, like the hood of a cap, tipped with three flint "feathers" coming off the top.

We'll share rough sketches of the starters, but lets start with the first finished piece.
