These silver coins in the museum at the Ancient Agora, Athens are from the 3rd & 4th centuries BC. Less than 1cm in diameter, but so much expression conveyed in such a tiny space.

A photograph of some old coins, both small and a bit wobbly-eshed. One shows the profile of a crowned bearded king, dated 1548, and is labelled, "Charles V, Spanish Netherlands'. The other coin of interest bears much patina - I think it's copper oxidising - and is centrally marked T H", labelled a farthing token.

The reverse of the two coins. The farthing token shows writing around the edges, and a central crowned figure who was noted as possibly female, but i think they're beardy. The other Courte coin shows the reverse, some.sort of stylistic dragon, lion or griffin with large-type claw feet.

Two very old coins, one is a 1548(?) Spanish Netherlands Charles V/Quint Courte, the other noted as a farthing token "In YORKE 1666" Thomas Hurst-Spinner/Hurstspiner, crowned figure pos. female but maybe beardy. 😂 I can't read it. Need a #Numismatist!
