TransformED team members view early illustrations for a digital storybook created by University of Nebraska–Lincoln students. The storybook will support a new social and emotional assessment tool developed to help educators improve practices, manage challenging behaviors and reduce workload.
Students from the UNL College of Journalism and Mass Communication created illustrations for the interactive children’s story “Blaze’s Big Day." This is an example illustration of the bee character showing two emotions with text: "Some bees show when they feel upset by buzzing loudly, while others keep their feelings inside their stripes. Touch the bee that's more like you."
Nebraska researchers are developing a new #earlychildhood assessment tool with input from parents & educators. Part of the University of Nebraska–Lincoln's TransformED initiative, the "buzzworthy" tool aims to enhance practices, reduce workload & help kids thrive.
