We're discussing #OAKvDET in today's recording btw, to give you context.

Yeah, I think it's awful sometimes.

A few years ago, we had 3-4 minute, but all important in it. And I'm okay with those 8ish as extended, if 4 are to short.

But with noting meaningful happening ... eight minutes are to much. I mean #OAKvDET had 2:5 shots in general.

Can somebody of the USL explain to me, why we have to have eight minute highlight videos, even if nothing noteworthy happens?

Example below. Nearly all happens in the 2nd half, with 80% not being a highlight. Still an eight minute video!
