release us from our bonds
to sin and self,
to greed, pride,
vanity and hypocrisy;
lead us from the darkness
we so often choose,
to the light of your kingdom,
to the fullness of your life,
to the joy of your light
shining for all.

O come, thou Key of David, come,
and open wide our heavenly home.
The captives from their prison free,
and conquer death’s deep misery.
