I've had this story in my head for almost a year. I've poked at it but only have a collection of scene snippets, written as they come to me and usually in a flurry before I lose them to one of the holes in my sponge brain.

He thought it was neat
That as “Ed” Ed was sweet
But as “Blackbeard” he loved a good maim.

No one noticed the captains had gone.

That he has quite nice hair
But his mustache is definitely weird

He got bored with his life
So he put down the knife
And picked up a hot blonde guy for kissin'

He wasn't the best one, you might concede

Blackbeard saved him from fall
It was love at first sight as he passed out from bleed.

His eyes, his face he did blacken
When hope it did fade
There came a mermaid
And the ropes, they started to slacken.

Sailing proud amongst Blackbeard's top fleet
The sloop called Revenge was unique
The crew was unknown
And a cat flag was flown
"Because they're witches with knives in their feet"
