Black-and-white photograph of Jane Addams standing on the deck of a ship, facing the camera. She wears a dark coat with a fur collar and cuffs, a cloche-style hat, and light-colored gloves that she holds in one hand along with a small handbag. The background is slightly foggy with railings and a blurred building behind her.
