Sweden stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Stockholm 30 down 3.77%
Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 3.77% to hit a new 52-week low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SAAB AB ser. B (ST:SAABb), which rose 6.31% or 24.50 points to trade at 411.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb) added 2.17% or 6.20 points to end at 291.30 and Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) was up 2.02% or 0.73 points to 36.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb), which fell 12.43% or 36.30 points to trade at 255.80 at the close. Sinch AB (ST:SINCH) declined 11.01% or 2.35 points to end at 18.95 and Hexagon AB ser. B (ST:HEXAb) was down 8.09% or 8.60 points to 98.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 571 to 209 and 54 ended unchanged.
Shares in SAAB AB ser. B (ST:SAABb) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 6.31% or 24.50 to 411.70. Shares in Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) rose to 52-week highs; up 2.02% or 0.73 to 36.80.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 7.00% or 5.02 to $66.69 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 6.59% or 4.94 to hit $70.01 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 1.19% or 37.80 to trade at $3,128.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.18% to 10.76, while USD/SEK fell 1.59% to 9.74.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 1.80% at 101.63.
