Virginia Cornish is making innovative advances in point-of-care diagnostics by using whole cell (yeast) biosensors. Very cool science, real world impact. #OPTSRC

Postdoc Anneliese Gest (Zhang Lab UCSD) presented a new far-red sensor for protein kinase A (PKA). Very nice engineering and screening. #OPTSRC

Carsten Schultz (OHSU) presented new ADP-ribosylation sensors that could reveal new biology and enable drug screening for new PARP inhibitors. #OPTSRC

Andy Yeh (UCSC) presented a novel cortisol sensor at the 2025 FASEB: Optical Probes meeting. #OPTSRC

Eggeling presented some impressive high-resolution real-time imaging of budding endosomes at the 2025 FASEB: Optical Probes meeting. #OPTSRC. I also learned a new term: photoblueing.

Prof. Sheel Dodani gave a fantastic talk at the FASEB Optical Probes meeting. She is developing elegant sensors of chloride and is poised to make some novel discoveries on the regulation of this under-appreciated anion. #OPTSRC
