A green bell pepper hangs (precariously close to the ground) from its plant. The plant is green stalks and green leaves with a few off-white closed up blooms that we hope will turn into more peppers. The dirt is redish brown and desperately dry. So much so you can see it cracking.

Two summers in a row?!
Perhaps we know how to grow bell peppers now!

In a sea of green leaves and braches sits a tiny round green growth that we hope to see turn into a full-sized tomato soon! This photo was taken in the Octopus Garden at Campbell’s Cove Campground in Prince Edward Island, Canada.

A new green leaf and a tiny white flower amongst some dead brown leaves and wet dirt suggest we might get a strawberry or two!

A green rectangle planter with wet brown dirt and a clump of green spearmint in the middle. It is our hope that spearmint will help deter mosquitoes, black flies, and rodents at Campbell’s Cove Campground in Prince Edward Island, Canada. (It must stay in pots and planters as mint is very invasive.)

Many small green spade (sort of) shaped leaves of lemon balm. It is our hope that lemon balm will help keep mosquitoes and black flies at bay on days the wind doesn't.

Things are growing!

Very thin brown stems stick up (about .5 inches) from round dirt pods. There are 2 wee green leaves on each stem. They are hopefully gonna grow into cherry tomatoes. In spring, they will be transplanted into the garden at Campbell’s Cove Campground in PEI, Canada.

6 rows of six round dirt pods in a black tray. (Clear plastic cover is barely visible in the top left corner, as it is being held up above the camera.) Some dirt pods have red bell pepper seeds, some have cherry tomato seeds, and others have watermelon seeds. Anything that survives will go in the Octopus Garden at Campbell’s Cove Campground in PEI, Canada. (But not until the temperatures allow - likely late May or early June.)
