This is controversial to many Michiganders, but the first Coney Island hot dog joint was actually John Hay Red Hot Coney Island Stand in Bay City, Michigan in 1907 at the Wenona Beach Park and not Todoroff's in Jackson, Michigan which opened in 1914.
